About Us
We’re Thousand Hills Company. We create communities for the human spirit.
Our work restores our relationship to this beautiful planet, allowing the human spirit to thrive and connect with others and the land around it. Our communities are far more than just homesites, streets, and sidewalks; they are reminders of how we can flourish and who we truly are.
We approach development as an act of stewardship, combining experience with artistry to create communities that value the land and human experience. We treat landowners, investors, homebuilders, neighbors and realtors with respect and honesty, building relationships in ways that are unique in our industry. With thoughtfulness and intention, we approach our work with the next 100 years in mind.
Chattanooga Is Our Home
The people, the place, the culture, the food, the beauty, the history…it draws you in and settles deep in your soul. We love Chattanooga and the surrounding region and want to see it thrive in every possible way.
Our part has been in helping build our community in many different ways. We have helped create beautiful places through residential land development, land conservation, and commercial development. And we have been involved in bringing great things to our city like Chattanooga Football Club, Keller Williams, CO.LAB, Highland Park Commons, and more.
We work continually to leave a better place for all future generations.
Who We Are
JIM LEA
Jim has been involved in Greater Chattanooga area real estate since 2002 when he and his wife, Monique Lea, launched The Lea Team, a real estate sales team that has been ranked consistently Top 10 in the region. His reputation for character and results began to open doors at Collier Construction, Pickett Homes, and GreenTech Homes. These local builders initially relied on Jim to lead their marketing and sales efforts and, over time, began to collaborate with him on town planning, floor plan design, and neighborhood development.
